Salsa rustler handlebar1/7/2024 If I go with the Salsa bars and cut them down to 700-710 range, do you think "in theory" it would feel funny with a 90 stem? I know the only person that can find out for sure is myself but I just wonder in theory how that would be? For true mountain biking the 60 stem wider bars was nice but most of my riding is gravel and urban stuff and occasional MTB singletrack when I get the chance to load the bike up and travel over an hour to the singletracks. I think the bars are a little too narrow but the stem length has my upper body balance feeling pretty good. Lately though I have been experimenting and have found a 90 mm stem with 660 bars feels pretty nice. When I first built this bike I was running wide bars (740) and a 60 mm stem. My bike has a slack headtube angle making the cockpit a little more crowded. I do have a question though maybe you can help with. Just not sure I could make a wider bar work well with a stem of this length.Īwesome.I think I will be getting some then. I feel more balanced (weight off the bars) with this 90 stem than I remember feeling with the 60. Most bars are 6 to 8 degree back sweep, so they are not that much think I will be getting some then. I would say comparable to other trail bars, I didn't realize they had the 11 degree back sweep until after I looked them up online, I just knew they were the only wider bars that didn't bother my wrists.
